Step into soothing warmth where the body unwinds, circulation awakens, and calm flows through every breath

Ganbanyoku is a Japanese “bedrock bathing” therapy where you lie on natural, heated, mineral-rich stones at 40-50 celcius or 104-122F with a lower humidity than traditional saunas to reduce the feeling of being overheated.
These stones emit far-infrared (FIR) rays that penetrate deep into the body to boost metabolism, detoxify, ease joint pain, and improve skin health, offering a dry-sauna alternative.
Key Aspects of Ganbanyoku and Far-Infrared Therapy
The Process:
Unlike traditional hot-water baths (onsen), you lie on a warm stone slab in a, usually, humid, relaxing, and quiet atmosphere in comfortable lounge wear.
Health Benefits:
- Deep Warming: FIR rays penetrate three times deeper than traditional sauna heat, improving circulation and boosting collagen production.
- Detoxification: Induces deep sweating to remove toxins like heavy metals.
- Pain Relief: Alleviates muscular, joint, and nerve pain.
- Skin & Health: Improves skin tone, promotes weight loss, and enhances immune function.
Common Stones Used:
Black silica (known for high FIR emissions), granite, or stones like Tenkoseki.
Routine:
A typical session lasts 1 hour, often broken into 20–25 minute intervals of lying on the stones, followed by cooling down. We recommend first timers to Gabbanyoku to do 20 minutes first.
