There are many varying types of caves in Langkawi.
The four well-known ones are:
Bat Cave - Gua Kelawar
The cave is located in the mangroves of Kilim River and it is a main stop on the various mangrove tours. Cave of Legends - Gua Cerita
The cave on Langkawi's northwest coast is accessible by boat and often visited by mangrove tour groups travelling from Tanjung Rhu to Sungai Kisap Forest Reserve. Access is via a beach and a short flight of steps.
Cave of the Sand Merchant - Gua Pasir Dagang
The cave on the northwest side of Pulau Dayang Bunting is home to many cave dwellers such as bats. It's accessible by boat and then foot.
Porcupine Cave - Gua Landak
This is an accessible cave located the east of Kuah.
